What’s in the lightning?
The energy of the air, I get a sense as if you’re there
On a shoestring reeling
They don’t believe us then they leave us, what’s for feeling if they don’t care?
While I look in the corner, my misty shadow, it fades to me
Your look of hopefulness mystifies me now

Oh how do you put that light in the sky?
…no don’t tell
(On a misty ride)
If the secret is wasted, remember the mystery’s better for people like me

I cry alone into the night, it’s such a fight just to survive
I feel my place is in nowhere
I’m just a grey season
I see no reasons and I’d give so much to feel through the scent of your hair now

Oh how do you put that light in the sky?
…no don’t tell
(On a misty ride)
If the secret is wasted, remember the mystery’s better for people like me

On and on my life, it’s like a ride with no direction all the time
The parallels of a light year
I fade away to sullen by design
You’ll see effect but not a cause
That’s all it takes, my design mistakes right in a line

Sadly I’m aware of where I’m from – blurs of unknown
I close my eyes I’m lost in my headphones
And your gesture speaks so artfully, claiming, “there’s no mystery”…
Well if it’s true, that’s news to me as I look on mystified

Oh if you wouldn’t love me, I know, I don’t blame you
You can leave me here and mystified
And now my eyes wide open

Oh how do you put that light in the sky?
…no don’t tell
(On a misty ride)
If the secret is wasted, remember the mystery’s better for people like me

Oh no don’t tell
How do you?
My misty ride

No don’t tell
How do you?
My misty ride
