Kurt Dunlop

Kurt Dunlop

Kurt Dunlop was born in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and grew up in Arlington Heights. During his childhood, Kurt grew up playing the piano and did so until he decided at 13 he wanted to play the drums. It was at this point that music became a passion. Kurt practiced extensively and during high school he played in two bands writing original music and playing small local gigs.

After high school Kurt earned his bachelors degree at the University of Iowa. During these years his taste in music as well as his drum method evolved as his zeal for jazz fusion and improvisational rock seemed to open doors to new realms of composition and feed his passion for music.  A year after graduation Kurt moved to San Diego. It is here that he met Paul, Mike and Nic and became the final piece in the San Diego based indie rock band, FMera.
